Caitlin and Martin write back to each other as an assignment for school. Overtime, they become friends and learn a lot about each other even though they live on different parts of the world.

Mrs. Frisby has to venture out into the rats' bush in order to figure out how to save her son Timothy.

Janie is having breakfast one day whenever she sees her face on the milk carton. She realizes that she must be kidnapped and tries to figure everything out.

Tris finds out she is Divergent and chooses to join Dauntless. Tris has to make sure she doesn't become factionless as well as save the Dauntless from Eric.

Harry Potter finds out about the Order of The Phoenix and must work with everyone else in it to stop Voldemort.

Harry Potter is partaking in his sixth year at Hogwarts school. While there, Harry gets help from someone called "The Half-Blood Prince" and tries to figure out who it is. The Half-Blood Prince gives him instructions on how to do all of the potions and even secret things around the school, but will this really be a great idea or will it get Harry in even more trouble?

    The book I am currently reading is Insurgent by veronica Roth. Currently, Tris and Four, along with the rest of the Dauntless, are running from the Erudite faction who is trying to take over. My predictions were right because I had a feeling that the Erudite faction was evil. I knew this because the was foreshadowing whenever Tris's mom asked Caleb to research the Erudite. There are a lot of parts to the book where I was able to visualize. One example is whenever Tris was going into the simulation and it clearly described what it looked like for her since she is divergent. The simulation revolved around her fears which were clearly presented in the book. One of the most described fears was whenever she had to kill her family. She chose to not kill them and have herself killed instead which didn't actually happen because it was a simulation.

    My partner for the book project was Lexi who also read a book by John Greene. Her book was Turtles All The Way Down and I read The Fault In Our Stars. Both books were similar because they both revolved around growing up to quickly and not having a good childhood. In both books, the characters dealt with something that kept them from living a normal life. In my book, Hazel had cancer and didn't have a long life-expectancy. In Lexi's book, the main character didn't have a normal childhood because she had bad anxiety and OCD.

The two novels are different though, because my book, The Fault In Our Stars, ended up with a death, but Lexi's book didn't. Even though her book didn't have a death, both books didn't have happy endings.

John Greene's books, including The Fault in Our Stars, was based off real events and characteristics from his own life. In The Fault in Our Stars, Hazel, the main character, has cancer. The idea of making Hazel have cancer came from John Greene's own life where he used to work in a hospital. John was always surrounded by ill patients which inspired him to write a story. Another characteristic of Hazels is that she is interested in science, literature, and history. These are all subjects that John Greene taught when he was a professor. John Greene is interested in health and science and even created his own YouTube channel. All of these interests that John Greene has and all of the events from his life were incorporated into his novels.

    This quote is important because Augustus shows Hazel that she shouldn't let cancer get the best of her. He is putting the cigarette in his mouth, but not lighting it. By doing this, he is saying that if you give up fighting and give something the power then it will be harmful or dangerous and get the best of you. 

Hello, My name is Olivia Kadylak and I am in 8th grade. My favorite genres to read are fantasy and realistic fiction. My favorite books are all of the ones in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. My favorite time to read is at night and when I am at the beach on vacation. The book I am reading for the book project we are doing in school right now is The Fault In Our Stars by John Greene.

   I haven't started The Fault In Our Stars yet, but I plan on starting it tonight. Lexi recommended this book to me saying that it was really good and that she liked the author's writing style. Not only did I choose to read the book because of that, but I also wanted to read it because it has real world events and I think it is important to read books like these because they remind us all that there won't always be a happy ending to things. By reading books like these, we will all understand there is more than just made up situations from the imagination inside of a book. I think it will be interesting to read about characters who struggle with huge issues nd plots that are different from those in other books. John Greene is known for writing about more mature subjects and I thin that a lot of times people think that is unnecessary, but it can actually be very beneficial to learn bout these things. From what I have heard, the main character has lung cancer which is a very serious subject to deal with. By reading books like these, you can spread awareness about these situations. Overall this looks like a very great book! I can't wait to start reading The Fault In Our Stars tonight!
